Laser Shooting Coweyeballs Developed!!!

Image
Ordinary contact lenses just moved one step closer to letting you shoot lasers from your eyes. Scientists recently developed the first pliable, ultrathin "membrane laser" that can be fixed to curved or delicate objects. After being charged with blue light, the membrane emits lasers; researchers tested the material by placing it on contact lenses that they then mounted on cow eyeballs, according to a new study. Unlike other types of light, laser light does not occur naturally; it features just one wavelength and is highly directional and capable of staying focused for great distances Lasers are used for precision tools and for certain types of delicate surgery. Scientific instruments use laser pulses from satellites for remote measurements, to create 3D landscape maps and even to track Earth's rotation " We have developed a new type of laser that is extremely light and thin — the whole laser being less than 1/1000th of a millimeter thick ," said ...

Beware : This Robot Could Run After You!!!

Image
You can run from Boston Dynamics' humanoid robot Atlas, but it wouldn't do you any good — the robot can run after you. In a video shared to YouTube by the robot maker, the strange human-like Atlas demonstrates running ability that is more or less of a person's. The robot jogs methodically across an expanse of grass, against a backdrop of trees punctuated by a few buildings. Boston Dynamics poses the video's title as a question — "Getting some air, Atlas?" — as though Atlas had somehow unexpectedly taken himself outside for a run, on a whim. The robot, described as "the world's most dynamic humanoid" on the Boston Dynamics website , runs at a slow-but-steady pace over grass, up a slight incline to another field, and then stops in front of a log. Atlas steadies himself, bends his "knees," raises his "arms" and nimbly hops over the log, landing without a wobble. It's an impressive display — and so much li...

Motorola : Patent For Foldable Smartphone

Image
On Friday, a SlashGear report said, "No surprise that Motorola apparently wants in and has actually been scheming for years. A recently awarded patent reveals its idea for a smartphone that folds out into a tablet, pretty much like other foldable phone patents out there,". "What makes this one a bit more interesting, however, is not the phone itself but the addition of a case cover that actually adds some value to the device," the report added. Highly Recommended :  Congratulations!!! You Won IPHONE X : The Truth Motorola had actually filed the patent in September 2016 but it got the patent granted this March and appeared only recently. What do you think about foldable phones ? Let us know in the comment section.

Microsoft Working On AI To Remove Fake News

Image
“We are already working on a couple of such AI-powered initiatives towards Bing and Linkedin. We are also trying to forge tie-ups with trusted news sources and then indicate to users what is the source of the news and letting them make their own decisions,” Heiner told IANS at the company’s sprawling, 500-acre campus here. The main challenge, according to him, are concerns regarding censorship and defining what is fake news. A very high percentage of people get news from Facebook and YouTube and both these major platforms are having troubles with handling fake news. There are six core concepts to achieving “trustworthy AI”. AI-based systems need to treat everyone fairly, must be safe, protect privacy and security, include everyone and need to be transparent as algorithms can be mysterious at times. “AI is well suited to us as we build software to improve lives. The technology can do wonders in voice, speech recognition and translation solutions. Aided by AI, humans can redu...
